Sh. Mohamed Taalib was born in Muqdisho, Somalia. He memorized the Holy Quran in Somalia under Macalin Adan Ali and Sheikh Mohamed Hussam Almasri. He obtained Ijaza in qiraa’ah aasim. Sh. Taalib came to the USA in 2007 and graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis. After graduation, he traveled to Egypt to attend the prestigious Al Azhar University. He completed his bachelor degree in Sharia from Al Azhar in 2020. He returned to Minnesota and now leading the Masjed abubakr Al-Seddiq (MAAS) Academy to teach next generation of Muslims in Rochester, MN. He currently resides in Rochester, MN.

Imam Sheikh Elsayed Mahmoud was born in Cairo, Egypt. He memorized the Quran at the age of of thirteen at the hands of Sheikh Muhammad Al-Deeb and Sheikh Al-Sayyid Al-Maghribi. He received the entirety of his education through the Al-Azhar institutes from primary through university. In 1993, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Sharia from the prestigious Al-Azhar University. He worked as a teacher of Islamic Sciences in private schools and mosques affiliated with the Sharia Association from 1989 to 1995. From 1995 to 1996 he worked in Al-Azhar institutes . In 1997 he moved to work at the Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf. In January of 2001, he moved to the United States to work as an Imam, teacher, and preacher at Masjed Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq in Rochester, Minnesota where he continues his service today.

Mu’allim Abdullahi Adan is a third-year medical student at Windsor University School of
Medicine with a B.A. from the University of Minnesota where he studied political science and global studies. He has been an active member of the Minnesota Muslim community for over 15 years and has been personally committed to supporting our children, youth, and young adults in their many roles. Abdullahi has also worked as a special education coordinator for the Minneapolis School District, supporting students through their educational journey. His goal is to continue refocusing his skills and expertise to integrate his medical education with community building. He currently resides in Rochester, MN.
